The St. Paul’s Family Volunteers at Rapahope

Rapahope Children’s Retreat sponsors a free, weeklong summer camp for children with cancer each year.  Several St. Paul’s faculty and students were integral parts of camp in June 2024!  Girls’ softball coach Kayla Johnson brought her two precious sons and players Fancy Malone, Emily Brand, and Sarah Kathryn Russell came to camp before it started to help clean, set up tables and chairs, make “table boxes” of supplies, and other tasks as needed.  Faculty member Leslie Lerner organized hostess volunteers for the week and Laura McGee manned the kitchen.  Upper School Director Lisa McDonough volunteered as a hostess for a day, and super pancake makers Jody Powell and Mike Marshall put their skills to work for Friday breakfast, making nearly 1000 pancakes!  There were also several SPS alumni serving as counselors and staff.
