Service Leadership Prepares for Weekly Tutoring at Callahan School

 

Beginning Wednesday, September 11^th, this year’s Service Leadership class will tutor every week at the Callahan School for the Deaf and Blind.  To prepare, Callahan faculty members Rebecca Bowen, speech pathologist,  and Amy Hess, mobility specialist, led a special training session on Tuesday 9/3.  The students learned how to guide visually impaired students and techniques for tutoring the visually and hearing-impaired.  They followed the training with a tour of the Callahan campus on Wednesday 9/4.
