Eighth Grade Rutledge Fellows Sort Beads at Augusta Evans

Sponsor Danner Nguyen took a group of 13 eighth grade Rutledge Fellows to Augusta Evans School for special needs kids on Monday November 4th to help sort Mardi Gras beads.  As part of the school’s job training program, older students sort and package beads that have been donated to the school.  The beads are then sold to parading organizations to fund programs at the school.  The SPS students quickly learned to sort and produced almost 4 barrels of sorted beads as they worked with some of the Evans students.
