Poverty Simulation at Freshman Service Day

On Thursday September 12th St. Paul’s entire Freshman class participated in a poverty simulation with Matt Armbruster, head of Ransom Ministries.  The students learned firsthand about the issues faced by the homeless in our society.  Afterwards they heard from two impactful guest speakers, then divided into three groups for different projects.  One group packed blessing bags of toiletries which will be distributed at the Love All food pantry, another group decorated and packed treat bags for policemen and firemen participating in a statewide bike ride, and the last group packed almost 800 bags ow weekend food that will be distributed on Fridays to food-insecure children at Ella Grant Elementary.
